Prambanan, The Most beautiful Hindu Temple in World

Temple of Prambanan is beautiful extraordinary building builded in 10th century at a period of governance two kings, Rakai Pikatan and Rakai Balitung.
Boosting as high as 47 metres ( 5 metres higher than Temple of Borobudur), standing of its this temple have fulfilled desire of maker , showing of Hindu in Java land.

This Temple is located 17 kilometres from downtown Yogyakarta, in the middle of area which is nowadays developed by a beautiful garden.

There is a legend which is always narrated by a Java society about this temple. It was told, so called Bandung Bondowoso love Roro Jonggrang. Because Roro Jongrang doesn't love either, Jonggrang ask Bondowoso to make the temples of 1000 statues in a night. That request is almost fullfiled by Bandung bondowoso, but Jongrang ask the countryside citizen to pound the rice and make big fire so that it looked like atmosphere forming in the morning.

Bondowoso can just make 999 statues, then Bondowoso curse Jonggrang to become the statue as the 1000 statues because feeling insincere of Jongrang.

Prambanan temple owns 3 especial temples in especial yard. that is Temple of Wisnu, Brahma, and Siwa. Third of the temple is device of Trimurti in Hindu belief. Third of that temple face to east direction. Each especial temples owns one additional temple face to west, that is Nandini for the Siwa, Goose for Brahmaf, and Garuda for Wisnu.

beside that, there are still 2 'apit' temples, 4 'kelir' temples, and 4 corner temples. Whereas, at the second yard owns 224 temples.

Entering Siwa temple which is located in the middle and have the highest building, you will meet 4 rooms. One especial room contains the statue of Siwa, the other side 3 other rooms contain Durga statue ( wife Siwa), Agastya ( Teacher of Siwa), and Ganesha (a son of Siwa). the statue of Durga, that's mentioned as statue of Roro Jonggrang in legend narrated above.

In the temple of Wisnu which is located in northside temple of Siwa, you will only meet one containing room of statue Wisnu. And Temple of Brahma which is located in side south of Temple Siwa, too, you will also find one room contains the statue of Brahma.

addition Temple which is enough captivate is Garuda temple which is located near by Temple of Wisnu. This Temple saves story of human being it's called Garuda. garuda represents the mystique bird in Hindu mythology which have gold body, face white, red winged, beak and winged look like the hawk.

Estimated, that buttonhole is Hindu that adapt for buttonhole of Bennu ( meaning ' published' or ' shining', usually with Dewa Re) in Ancient Egypt mythology or Phoenix in Ancient Greek mythology. Garuda can save his mother from anathema Aruna ( garudas' sister who was born with physical defect) by stealing Tirta Amerta ( holy water all deities).

beside that, Thailand uses similar device of state, with the reason of equal but adaptation form and different appearence. In Thailand, Garuda recognized with the term of Krut or Pha Krut.

Prambanan also owns the relief temple loading story of Ramayana. According to all experts, that relief looks like the story of Ramayana degraded by the oral tradition.
