The Japanese Red Cross in cooperation with Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) had sent "Family Kits" to Situ Gintung dam tragedy victims at Cireundeu village in Ciputat, Tangerang District in Banten province.

"The Family Kits from PMI and Japanese Red Cross contain various household utensils," logistic official at Jakarta Muhammadiyah University (UMJ), Uus Rustandi said as quoted by Antara newswire on Saturday.

He said the assistance for the two countries Red Cross in around 100 bags consisted of plastic containers, washbasins, plastic dishes, plastic glasses, water dippers, spoons, towels, tooth brushes and tooth pastes, bathing soaps, instant noodles, and mineral water.

"The assistance arrived on Friday night at around 9 p.m.," Rustandi said, adding that a post command at UMJ campus was open 24 hours to receive humanitarian assistance from various parties.

Meanwhile, the Banten branch of the Indonesian Red Cross said it had deployed 100 rescue workers to help the victims of the dam tragedy.

"We have deployed some 100 PMI workers to help the dam burst victims," vice head of PMI's Banten office Airin Rachmi Diany said here early Saturday morning.

She said that PMI offices for Jakarta, Cilegon and the headquarters had also sent rescuers who coordinated in providing help for the victims.

Airin said that for the time being the evacuation of the victims was halted Friday night due to the power outage around the area. For this purpose, PMI Banten sent a number of power generator sets to the location.

In the meantime, the rescue workers at the Ahmad Dahlan High School for Economics were channeling assistance from the public in the form of food, blankets, children dresses and mineral water.

At least 62 institutions, mass organizations and state companies have provided contributions to the victims.

Hello friends, have you ever been in Bandung, yes Of course, even you are a tourist, perhaps you have ever come to Bandung. But You know that in Bandung, exactly in south Bandung, there is Ciwidey about one hour and a half form City Bandung, then we can come to Ciwidey, what is an amazing from this place.

My two days in Ciwidey, I felt so many beautiful tour places such as for Camping with cold season, and then we can also swim in hot water, hiking and going to 'Pasir putih' a place which has beautiful place with white little stone. Well, my tow days in Ciwidey, at least we can come to five different tour places, well.. It was so nice.

For you, if you want to go to Ciwidey from Bandung,perhaps I suggest you to go via Kopo flyover, then pass Kopo City, But I really suggest you to be more careful if you drive in evening, because the season in sometime was rather dark, so..ask someone to know the street :).

Hello everybody, have you ever gone for picnic to a place which is get beautiful waterfall. Yup, In Sumedang City, about 20 km from Bandung, there is a beautiful waterfall. Traveling to a place that has a beautiful waterfall can make us get fresher air, and make our brain be fresher.

Sindulang is located in the village, exactly in district of Cimanggung. This place has two recreations of waterfalls with a height of around 50 meters. Sindulang waterfall have a beautiful panorama of nature, especially on the way to the location.
When traveling forward, we will also come to the place that have hot water, because, Sindulang waterfall is near Cipanas hot water, so we can get two recreation places, they are nice, aren't they :).

Hello, Guys.., we are still travelling in Sumedang, you know this City about 10 km from Bandung and for some people who want to go to Cirebon of course they will pass this city, and I, too. Because my village is located in majalengka, so I always pass this city, and we can swim in hot water in Cipanas.

Cipanas is Located 19 km north of the city Sumedang direction, at the foot hills Tampomas, Sekar wangi village, district and two fruits can we got with all types of transportation both public and private cars. In this place there is a source of hot water, and other facilities such as lodging,etc.

Well, It look like Cipanas in Garut, as we know Garut also gets a place which contents of hot water, and usually saturday night every tourist come to swim in Cipanas, So.. what do you prepare, Cipanas in Sumdang or in Garut :).

Hello guys, Do you know Sumedang City? yup this city is located about 1 hour from Bandung. Small city which is known well with tofu. when I and my family go to Bandung from my village, by passing the City, we usually buy tofu, delicious and get some nutrient. it's not only some tofu store but also some persons who sell tofu directly, they also get into public car to sell it.

Sumedang's tofu is really known well in Indonesia. So if you are not from Bandung, when you are traveling and this place, don't forget to take a rest in Sumedang and tasting Sumedang's tofu, beide that Sumedang also gets some beautiful place for picnic, like Kampung Toga, a place which is located in south of Sumedang gets some facilities like for skying, swimming and good view. And for tofu we can just buy for about 5 thousand up to 10 thousand rupiahs, if you would rather buy more, it will be Ok for your stomach :).

Jatiluhur Dam

Well, six years ago, myfriends asked me to go picnic to Jatiluhur, a City which is located about three hours from Bandung. Then, I and four my friends went there, we left from Bandung about seven p.m. Well, going in the night is very nice, cold water and no serious traffict jam, we arrived in Purwakatraabout eleven p.m, I was so surprised because, we felt the water near Jatiluhur Dam is hot enough.

Ge.., we took bath in the night without feeling cold, In early morning we went to Jatilhur Dam which took us about a half an hour from my friend's house, when we arrived we can see beautiful Dam which have many picnic's locations. We can take in bout, or just see the generator of the Dam, If we are in this Dam of Jatiluhur, we can feel near the see. So, if you come to Purwakarta, don;t froget to call on to Jatiluhur Dam :).

Hi Guys, have you ever come to Lembang. Yes Lembang is located in north Bandung which gets cold weather. Lembang is also near Tangkuban perahu mountain the place which gets beautiful view and some visitors not only from Bandung but also out of Bandung always come to see the mountain and for the ones who come via Bandung, some of them usually take a rest in Lembang while having rabbit ‘small pieces of meat roasted on skewer, gee it’s very nice.

Near Lembang also there is place that is called Cikole, a place that usually used for camping. Cikole gets colder weather than Bandung city. In the last time I have ever come there to see my university students’ of Ganesha who Conducted their camping in Cikole, we just come at four clock pm, but how cold we felt. For you who come to Bandung, you have to try to call on to Lembang for having rabbit ‘small pieces of meat roasted on skewer.

Well..Hi every body, for the ones who live in Bandung. In Bandung exactly on sundays beside we can go sight seeing like to 'Tangkuban Perahu' place, we can try new picnic that's called Religion Picnic. Exactly in Gegerkalong street in, there two places for Moslem's religion like 'Daarut-tauhid' that's belong to AAGim and in 'Divlat' 4 of Telkom thre is 'MPI' or stands for 'Majelis Percikan Iman' with 'UStad Aam'.

in 'Ustad' Aam's place, the visitors are not only for let's say youngster or adult Men or women, but also we can bring our little children because there are playground area, so..while we get Islamic science we can also picnic by playing with our children on the playground area.

If you come to Bandung, Why don't you try :).

About ten years ago,I came to Bandung, one of the biggest City in Indonesia which is called Paris Van Java... so why, it maybe Bandung gets beautiful view and fresher climate than Jakarta.When The frist time I came to the Zoo of Bandung that is located near Institute Bandung of Technology.

Bandung is also gets some Good universities like ITB,Padjajaran University and Education University of Indonesia, it's for this reason so many university students to be come to Bandung every year to study in Bandung.

Bandung has also some picnik location such as Ciwidey, Tangkuban parahu, Lembang and many other places. On saturday Bandung always crowded with visitor whocaome from Jakarta,Bogor or other City to go sight seeing and entering some Factory Outlet in Bandung. So..you wish to cometo Bandung.

Gee.. it's time to go for picnic, that's right. in the last time, exactly last August in 2006, we wen to Ciwidey, a place in part of Bandung which gets so many locations for picnic like camping, hot-water, little see and hiking. It just takes about 2 hours from City of Bandung, then we can find beautiful place with fresher air than in Bandung itself.

If you are interested to rent a car, it usually costs about 150000 rupiahs for a day for pickup car like APV Suzuki, as we did we prepared to rent because our friend is almost ten people, it was really nice, in the first day we got camp in the field which get cooler temperature than Bandung City.

In the second day, we tried to take into "Perahu" looks like sail and went around a place that called Situ Patengan, a place which get history liked 'Romeo and Juliet", so if you are interested to go there, just come to Bandung, Indonesia, and see me :).

well..i hope from now on, i will try to post some article again. I went to Jakarta from Bandung about 8 moths ago. in the last time, going to jakarta from bandung just have to pass 'puncak' a place which has beautiful mountain and always crowded especially on Saturdays and Sundays.

But now, we can go to jakarta from bandung just take about two hours via Cipularang fly over, gee.. it's really nice fro the ones who always goes to jakarta almost a week. when I and my wife going to jakarta, we just rent a car and drive with myself, for just remember the cost of the fly over is rather hight, we have to pay for about one hundred thousand rupiahs for Cileunyi up to Jakarta fly over.

hope, we can prepared whether just take into Bus or travel car for just eighty thousand rupiahs or get by our car or rent :).
